Guide to everyday work with the panel: backups, restore, history, and reports. System configuration (servers, repositories, users) is described in the Administrator Guide.

1. Logging in

Open the panel URL provided by your administrator and sign in with your username and password. If you forgot your password and e-mail is configured, use Forgot password on the login page.

2. Dashboard

The dashboard is your home page after login. You can show or hide widgets, reorder them (drag), and resize them. Common widgets:

Quick actions – shortcuts to backup, restore, and plans.
Status – running operation: progress, messages, cancel option.
Alerts – databases without a recent backup.
Repository usage – disk space used by backup files (MB or GB). Updates after a backup completes.
Reports – download backup list or last report (CSV/PDF).
Trends – preview of backup size growth; full charts are under Charts.
Recent events – excerpt from operation history.

3. Backup and restore

Select Backup / Restore in the menu. The wizard guides you step by step:

Backup – choose database server, repository, and databases, then start the backup. Files are compressed and — if your administrator enabled encryption — protected.
Restore – choose server, repository, and backup date, then select databases to restore. You can restore to the same server or — if permitted — to another.
Roles – separate operation for PostgreSQL roles (database permissions), when available in your environment.
Migration – move a database to another server (e.g. during infrastructure upgrades), when your administrator enabled this option.

After an operation, the report is stored in the Reports registry. In the wizard you can enable e-mail delivery (backup, restore, upload, migration). If SMTP is configured, the report may also be sent to your mailbox.

4. History, reports and charts

History — list of past backups and restores: database, file, size, result.

Reports — registry of operation reports (backup, restore, upload, decrypt, migration) with CSV/PDF download. Access depends on permission granted by your administrator.

Charts — backup size or duration trend; red points mark suspicious size anomalies.

5. Connections

If you have permission, Connections shows who is currently connected to databases (user, application, IP address). Useful when diagnosing “who is blocking the database”.

Filter by server or search by phrase (user, IP, application name, database).

6. Backup plans

Your administrator may define backup plans — ready-made sets of servers, databases, and schedules. If you have permission, view and run plans manually from Backup plans. Scheduled automatic runs are configured by the administrator.

7. Reports and export

Reports registry (menu Reports registry, when your administrator granted access) — full operation history with filters by type, date, and repository, plus CSV/PDF download for each report. This is the main place to review reports from backups, restores, uploads, decryption, and migrations.

Dashboard (Reports widget) — quick export without opening the registry:

Export CSV/PDF — list of backups in the repository (not the operation registry).
Last report CSV/PDF — summary of the latest backup or plan.

After an operation in the wizard you can tick e-mail delivery (when SMTP is configured). If you have Reports permission, the dashboard also links to the full registry.

8. In-app documentation

The Documentation menu opens this guide without leaving the panel. The link at the top of the page lets you open the administrator guide (if you have access).

9. Your account (user menu)

Click your user icon in the top-right corner:

Language — switch interface language (e.g. English / Polski).
Recent changes — what is new in each product version.
Change password — set a new password.
E-mail — address for password recovery and notifications.
Log out — end your session.
